Samos is known for its baby
goat recipes. The most common
is called “giorti” and is baby
goat cooked in a cauldron with
onions and wheat for 12 hours.
You can try it at the church on
every saints’ name day. Το ντόπιο
κατσικάκι γίνεται πεντανόστιμο,
μαγειρεμένο με κρεμμύδι και
σιτάρι σε καζάνι για 12 ώρες,
και ονομάζεται «γιορτή».
